Cordish has whined for years about losing money on P&L. If demand is there for these four towers, they should recoup their loses very quickly. They would get the revenue from the towers themselves and the expenditures by the residents in P&L. My guess is the lot on Truman and Main would be the next tower.

I sure hope they don't all look the same. It looks like a housing project.

I wouldn't give any credence to the design based on that image. every building and the interstate is painted an artificial purple.

Yes, but what worries me is the design does match the building that is going up. I'd say they are planning on them being all the same. 1 Light Tower, 2..., 3..., 4... yuck!

Cordish Co. adds second penthouse floor to One Light apartment tower
Cordish Co. is designating a second penthouse floor at One Light, the 25-story apartment tower under construction at 13th and Walnut streets, citing demand for the high-end downtown residences.

One Light originally planned 10 larger penthouse apartments, one- and two-bedroom units, on the top floor.

“We decided recently, because there’s been so much demand for those penthouse units, to make the 24th floor a penthouse floor as well,” said Nick Benjamin, executive director of the Kansas City Power & Light District.

Cordish owns and manages the district.

The 24th floor’s penthouse designation won’t increase the size of its 14 apartment units. But it will give them 11-foot ceilings, upgraded finishes and appliances and wine refrigerators.

the structure is above the height of the Jones Pool and is almost above the garage across the street. that's two more floors than a month ago.

It's the beginning of the 6th floor. The rendering show it about level with the top of H&R Block but I don't know how it cannot be taller with 19 more to go!?

It will be taller. they put their floor-by-floor virtual tool online. If you go to the corner unit on the top penthouse it's clearly taller. You can see the roof from their view

the next three towers could potentially go taller, they increased this one due to demand. with them fronting Truman Rd they will change the skyline from a bunch of directions.

Humphreys & Partners seem to also be responsible for one light towers two through four.

They have the image of the other towers posted on their site now. Granted it's an image we've seen before but this is the first time they've actually included it on their site. It appears for now the towers will all look the same.

I have my unit reserved. 2br on the 24th floor NE corner with a balcony.
Current planned move in date is 12/15/15.
Finding a suitable roommate that can afford half the rent will be fun next year.
