the paint scheme isn't wonderful, but that's also in the not worth nitpicking over category

here are a few applications that show the benefit of the "canvas" theme:

Oh the irony of RNC branded mass transit. Shouldn't the wrap camoflauge it to look like a line of big V8 powered SUVs filled with straight, white folks so the delegates feel comfortable getting on board?

track work on the main street viaduct begins july 14. they will mill the surface down first, then install rails.

water line replacement is really humming now, and will end up being the biggest impact to the corridor -- far beyond track installation.

the maintenance facility site has been cleared -- of brush, soil, tons of discarded glass soda bottles, and some illegal residents.

Is there anyway we can capture the effect of construction on traffic/congestion on Main and use it later for road diet purposes? I mean right now practically 80% of it is reduced in some capacity and I'm not seeing ANY type of backup or hearing any from driving co-workers.

does the plan still increase the amount of on street parking along the line at the same time?

the plan increases the capacity, not the number of spaces. with the peak-hour bus lanes going away south of truman, parking will be all day, every day. that's also part of the road diet since there currently isn't a buffer between traffic and the sidewalk. in addition, crossroads redevelopment will be adding street trees (starting with lead bank, corrigan, and the two hotels).

main street is going to look very different in a few years!
